The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA might be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed about the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and status sassa there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The company stage designed for intervention activities a substantial inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
